A.N.G.E.L.O. Digital Archive

projectdescription

The A.N.G.E.L.O. Heritage project is developed in collaboration with the A.N.G.E.L.O. Archive, a private archive that holds 150,000 garments and accessories dating from the late 19th century to the early 2000s. The collection of garments, coming from all over the world and selected for their intrinsic qualities and symbolic and cultural value, offers one of the most extensive and relevant evidence of fashion heritage in Europe. In the fashion sector, which systematically uses the past as a source of inspiration for new collections, A.N.G.E.L.O. Archive provides several different services to professionals, including research and consultation of garments and accessories and rental. The A.N.G.E.L.O. Heritage project aims to implement and develop a new digital archiving system that makes fashion content - currently held in the A.N.G.E.L.O. physical Archive - available and accessible online. In particular, through users' profiling activities, tailored and targeted user paths' design, a business model and related modular and multi-level services' implementation, and UX and UI design, the project aims to:

  • enhancing the current consultancy and research services addressed to luxury brands' style and product department;
  • widening the audience of the Archive through offer graduation techniques;
  • developing a platform able to integrate other potential external archives interested in the same business model.
